An iconic Taco Bell menu item is going vegan

One of Taco Bell’s most recognizable menu items is going vegan testing a vegan Crunchwrap, marking the first time that Taco Bell has sold a fully vegan entree.

Similar to a traditional Crunchwrap, the vegan version uses a “proprietary, boldly seasoned” plant-based protein topped with two vegan sauces: a blanco sauce (similar to sour cream) and a vegan nacho sauce. Then it’s all wrapped in a crunchy tostada shell. However, it’s not going nationwide just yet: A total of three Taco Bell locations — one each in New York City, Hollywood and Orlando — will sell the vegan Crunchwrap beginning June 8 until supplies last. Those cities were selected because they have notable vegan populations. The vegan version is priced the same as a traditional wrap, which ranges from $4.99 to $6.79 depending on the city. Taco Bell has long appealed to vegetarians and vegans since it offers black beans as a protein. In 2019, Taco Bell rolled out a vegetarian menu. Items could be customized more than 8 million ways to fit a vegetarian diet. Nearly a quarter of Taco Bell food sold last year was vegetarian options.

Diablo 4 KFC Collaboration Officially Revealed

Diablo 4 has officially begun its new promotion with KFC featuring special in-game cosmetics. Neither Blizzard nor KFC formally announced the upcoming promotion beforehand, but it seems the Diablo 4 promotion is now live at many of the restaurant’s locations.

Recently, several leaks suggested a second KFC promotion with Diablo 4 was coming for the game’s launch. Though it was never officially announced, an internal email made reference to several in-game cosmetics players could obtain by purchasing KFC, and models for several poultry-themed Diablo 4 weapons were discovered as well.

It seems the Diablo 4 promotion is not only real–it is rolling out at KFC locations across the US right now. On May 29, KFC added a new landing page to its website announcing the collaboration with Diablo 4, and many restaurants began using special Diablo 4 cups and sandwich wrappers. Players will be able to sync their Battle.net accounts to unlock rewards starting May 30, but sandwiches purchased digitally through the KFC app or website now will still count as qualifying purchases. With the cheapest sandwiches costing about $5, unlocking all five Diablo 4 weapons from KFC will cost about $25.

Taco Bell Menu Adds a New Kind of Nacho Fries

One of the smartest things Taco Bell has been able to do is take a new sauce or topping and use it to make multiple new products. That’s what the chain is doing with its new Steak Chile Verde Fries which are available through June 28 (or until supplies run out).

The new fries add steak and Taco Bell’s new Chile Verde sauce that incorporates jalapeño, lime, and zesty herbs. The sauce is poured over the crispy, spiced fries along with our signature warm nacho cheese sauce, three cheese blend, reduced fat sour cream, crunchy Fiesta strips, and marinated and grilled steak.

“Our Food Innovation team wanted to create layers of flavors for Nacho Fries, and we’re proud of the boldness of the new Chile Verde sauce. You can really taste the balanced pops of lime, garlic, and jalapeño in the sauce and it’s the perfect pairing for our beloved Nacho Fries,” shared Taco Bell Chief Food Innovation Officer Liz Matthews.

The meal will be exclusively available on the KFC app or website.

Taco Bell Fan Favorite Returning after Nationwide Vote

Taco Bell is holding up its end of the deal after promising to bring back a discontinued item of its fans’ choosing.

In March, Taco Bell announced plans to resurrect one of two items from its not-too-distant menu: the Beefy Crunch Burrito, made with seasoned beef, sour cream, rice and Fritos Flamin’ Hot corn chips; or the Cool Ranch Doritos Locos Taco, which comes in a taco shell seasoned with Doritos Cool Ranch flavoring.

After nearly a million votes, Taco Bell announced Thursday that the Beefy Crunch Burrito came out on top, with 59.9% of the vote.

“It’s a great day for our movement as devoted Beefy Crunch Burrito fans everywhere have made their voices heard,” Richard Axton, the founder of a so-called “Beefy Crunch Movement” on social media, said in a press release issued by Taco Bell.

KFC Simplifies Menu

KFC provides customers with the “best possible options” as part of our finger lickin’ good strategy. To that end, new menu boards will simplify the customer experience for drive-thru and in-restaurant ordering and help workers operate more efficiently.

“We have strategically worked to simplify menu boards to make ordering easier for guests and create operational efficiencies for our restaurant team members,” said KFC U.S. Director Brittany Wilson.

As the new menu boards are rolled out nationwide, customers will say goodbye to the following items:

– Kentucky Fried Chicken Wings

– Popcorn Chicken

– Nashville Hot Sauce

– Strawberry Lemonade

– Chocolate Chip Cookies

2 New Menu Items For April @ Taco Bell

Taco Bell announced the return of two exciting menu items, the Bacon Club Chalupa and Double Steak Grilled Cheese Burrito for the April menu. The Bacon Club Chalupa limited-time menu item features grilled chicken, bacon, avocado ranch sauce, lettuce, diced tomatoes and a blend of three cheeses in a warm chalupa shell and comes with two Crunchy Tacos and a large drink in a combo option at most locations.

Taco Bell’s Double Steak Grilled Cheese Burrito is a wrap that features grilled, marinated steak, seasoned rice and sauce in a warm tortilla, topped with a melted mix of cheddar, mozzarella and pepper jack cheeses and then grilled.

The “KFC Double Down” Is Coming Back

KFC is bringing back a legend after a nearly a decade. The “KFC Double Down” is coming back for a limited time, as of March 6. The creation replaces the bread that’s found in a typical sandwich and uses two fried chicken filets as the bun. In between are two slices of cheese, bacon and a choice of mayo or spice sauce.

The Double Down made its debut in 2010 and sold more than 10 million sandwiches and generated more buzz than any test market item in KFC history.

Dolly Parton loves Taco Bell’s Mexican Pizza, but she thinks it should be bigger

Just months after Dolly Parton told online news source Insider that she missed the Mexican Pizza, Taco Bell brought back the discontinued menu item and cast Parton in a musical celebrating its return. But the country-music icon has just one more request — she thinks the Mexican Pizza should be bigger.

Parton sat down with Insider in January to discuss her new line of Southern treats with Duncan Hines. She was asked how she felt about the return of the Mexican Pizza.

“It was great, and I still order them now,” she said. “They finally got them back, and now they can’t keep them in stock because people were missing them. I was just one of many, many people that had missed them.” Dolly went on to say, “I actually love ’em like they are, I’d just make them bigger so I could have more of it!”

Taco Bell heard Parton’s pleas, though, because the Big A** Mexican Pizza is being released to select fans this weekend.
